PROPOSAL 2 - now superceded by subsequent version found below.
I argue that to participate in the Skwawkbox poll for June NEC elections, before voting you should be required to provide:
i) an image scan of your Labour membership card. ii) A confirmation that you made no public statements opposing Corbyn being leader between Sep 2015 and Dec 2019 and iii) an acknowledgement that you will not be able to vote in the event that this confirmation is determined to be false. iv) A pledge to vote for the candidates which emerge from any OMOV STV vote that occurs. (the "OMOV vote pledge"). v) GDPR confirmations on phone/email/text/WhatsApp/Twitter you wish to be contacted by and if you wish your details to remain in the database. vi) Ensure that or aim to have all slate votes completed by opening of nominations. vii) That applications to be nominated as a candidate OR vote in the slate selection process must end 100 hours before the labour nominations open to allow maximum time for registrations and therefore maximum inclusion.

Proposal 2:- Democratising Slates for Labour national committees.
Too often, left slates have been arranged in secret by long standing figureheads of the Labour left. This has recently broken down. Skwawkboxâs limited and somewhat rushed poll in February should be applauded as an alternative route to select slates based on all left labour members voting. We express concern that Skwawkbox will close entries to nominees already and believe that the period for applying to vote in a slate selection should be at least a month, leaving plenty of time for a poll of a month in duration before party nominations open in May.
Any slate election must comply with the following minimum conditions:
voters must:
i) Provide their Labour membership number. ii) A confirmation that you made no public statements opposing Corbyn being leader between Sep 2015 and Dec 2019 iii) an acknowledgement that you will not be able to vote in the event that this confirmation is determined to be false or you are found to not be a Labour member with the right to vote in the NEC elections. iv) A pledge to vote for the candidates which emerge from any OMOV STV vote that occurs in the official Labour party NEC vote. (the "OMOV vote pledge") v) Confirmations for GDPR purposes of phone/email/text/WhatsApp/Twitter details you wish to be contacted through and if you wish your details to remain in the 100%OMOV database once any slate election is over.
the slate votes must:
vi) be performed entirely by a method involving one member one vote including a second voting phase of single transferable vote once the candidate pool is reduced to double the number of NEC places. vii) completed by opening of nominations ix) have applications to be nominated as a candidate OR vote in the slate selection process end no earlier than March the 15th, but prefereably April 6th for the 2020 elections in order to allow maximum inclusion by optimising time for registrations.
Candidates must:
x) confirm in writing that they will campaign for ONLY minimum nominations to appear on the ballot (5) if theyre not within the final top 9 remaining candidates, then, once acheived, publically ask supporters to no longer nominate them and nominate the top 9 remaining instead xi) confirm in writing that they will publically withdraw from the race if they are NOT part of the final 9 top remaining candidates from the STV OMOV vote 24 hours before the official labour NEC ballot begins. xii) confirm in writing that if elected to the Labour NEC that they will not run for any office, including MP, that will prevent them remaining on the NEC for the full duration of the NEC tenure (normally 2 years) xiii) meet the conditions for being a voter in the poll.
