Streetlife removed this post:-
"That's why a petition are almost always useless.
Most petitions, including this one, take people who routinely votes for and permit bad politicians to flourish CAUSING the bad things to happen and brings them into a polite , weak request that those nasty people top doing nasty things in a mere symbolic attempt to rectify things that doesnt resolve their initial crime: voting for the warmongers and austerity party.
A polite petition cant resolve the waves of evil Conservatives. It probably cant even resolve this single small evil closure of the walk in centre.
It is, essentially, begging.
And it wont just be conservative voters supporting this. It will be Owen Smith voters too.
Steven."

Hi there, you removed a post of mine. You can find the very slightly reworded comment here:-
www.streetlife.com/conversation/3qsa3fzwoye1h/
You cited these grounds:-
"The meaning or tone of your message could potentially be misconstrued by other Streetlife users. We recommend that you reword your message to avoid causing offence or being misinterpreted by others."
The above statement asserts that there is ambiguity in my post. I can't see the ambiguity. Please explain how it could be misinterpreted.
Apart from threatening and intimidating tones, which i assume we'd agree is clearly unacceptable, what other kinds of tones are unacceptable? How do you expect to police tone in a world so beset with injustice? Victims are bound to bump into their oppressors on here from time to time.
I like the tone of your posting rules. They're reasonable, civil and peaceful.

I changed my "evil conservatives" statement, assuming that was the cause of the removal but in doing so diluted the message of the post without legitimate cause. Transparency is necessary in moderation processes so that they don't become perceived or real consciously or unconsciously political censorship, which is offensive in the sense that its very dangerous.
At this moment i feel that I have been politically censored. Which isnt new, but is frightening is its prevalence. "Offence" is so very subjectively in the eye of the beholder that the term "offensive" is almost meaningless and it is used frequently to legitimise political censorship along with other such vague terms as "inappropriate" or "disruptive". You claim strong opinions are welcome on your forum posting rules, but i'm happy to hear where any diagnostic lines you think i have crossed are so that I can judge their legitimacy and avoid crossing them where they're legitimate.
Kind regards,
Steven.
