Some policies from an unofficial plymouth momentum group.
The core discussion policy elements are highlighted in bold.
There is no transparent decision explanation commitment and no appeal process. Many of the definitions use ambiguous terminology that will necessarily lead to subjective, unaccountable censorship. The risk here is that simply offending someone will lead to temporary and permanent bans. This facebook group is exactly the kind of opaque forum that leads to divisions, frustrations, lack of unity, lack of accountability. The owners probably mean well, but their lack of accountability will mean that this group leads to infighting and very little focussed action.
Its a fine example of why i felt the need for a superior forum, here at momentumunofficial.freeforums.net
Our superior processes mean theres some transparency, and we aim at total transparency, and there is as much indepedence in the appeals process as is possible givien the size of the administrative team here at any given time.
These elements alone make momentum.freeforums.net superior in its implemntation before we even get to the additional functionalty we intend to add primarily relating to prioritisation and thread seperation to improve focus of dicussion.

"This group forum is NOT an officially verified People's Momentum facebook group due to the official Page now being set up.
To join the official page please click the following link - www.facebook.com/Momentum-Plymouth-980771032019615/…
To that end and to respect the essence of Momentum's official membership criteria, people who wish to join this group forum - who are members of other parties or who may oppose the aims and objectives of Jeremy Corbyn and Momentum are reminded to comply with the guidelines for posting as stated within these group guidelines.
Plymouth Momentum Facebook group supports the aims and objectives of Momentum, which are to support the views of Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party and to campaign for a Labour government with Jeremy Corbyn as Prime Minister.
To that end and to conform with Momentum's membership criteria, people who are members of other parties or who oppose the aims and objectives of Jeremy Corbyn and Momentum are not permitted to join Momentum and attend Momentum meetings.
Furthermore please do not post any links to articles which oppose the aims and objectives of Momentum and Jeremy Corbyn or actively promote the policies and/or agenda of any party other than the Labour party. Any such posts or comments will be removed by admin, the poster warned and a repetition of this breach will result in a temporary 14 day for a first breach, or longer term ban from the page, if persisted.
Opposing views or opinions are positive to healthy debate and are educational for the understanding of issues and policies, and this is to be encouraged within the other standards of courtesy and respect for members as stated elsewhere in this group rules post"
Trolling is NOT allowed, this is defined as baiting or provoking another poster with rude, disrespectful or condescending remarks. If you see any such posts that you think are outside of these guidelines, click 'report to admin' in the drop down menu on the opening post so that we can be alerted to it.
No spam, no sexually explicit material, this includes spamming page with multiple threads about the same topic.
The admin will also reserve the right to moderate and intervene on any posts they deem to be in breach of these rules regardless of any member reporting to the admin
Treat others as you would be treated. Personal aggression, condescension, rudeness, racism, homophobia, bigotry sexism and discriminatory language are not welcome here and may lead to being banned.
If you decide to leave the group of your own volition, there will be a no return policy within 28 days. If you wish to rejoin the group you will be required to send a private message to ANY of the admin team along with the add request.
This same private message rule applies to those who are banned for the breach of the values and ethics of Momentum, albeit the initial barring period for such breaches will be 14 days, as previously mentioned.
Basically the private message will simply indicate your acceptance of the group rules and the Code of Ethics of Momentum. The private message will be viewed by the admin team and a majority judgement made as to approval of add request or otherwise."
