This is the most problematic thing i have read about momentum in the media.
"Lansman said: “It is not Momentum policy. We have said we will not campaign for mandatory selection and will not campaign for the deselection of anyone. That does not mean there will not continue to be concern from party members about the accountability of members of parliament. That is going to go on.”
I think Lansman is intelligent enough to know that deslections arew necessary and almost inevitable. Perhaps he's hoping to dmeocractise the party to ensure that deslections happen effortlessly when the membership desire them and therefore stating this to generate the sense that momentum is more about changing policy through democratisation of the Labour party than it is about changing policies or candidates per se.
I imagine that this is what he and Jez and John think, but id like to know from them unambiguously. Corbyn clearly doesnt want or need the backbiters who attack him routinely.

Of course, Lansman's declaration here could and probably will mean that many cobynites might seek to arrange deslection campaigns outside of the activity of "momentum".
I imagine such a group might be called "the unofficial Corbynites". Or something similar. If such a group is necessary to protect and advance Corbyn's and the British population's interests, then why shouldn't it exist?
